Game and level designer
MARTÍ PARLADÉ SALVANS

Hi! Welcome to my portfolio page. Here, I will showcase some of the latest projects I have worked in, mainly as a Game and Level Designer. Enjoy and feel free to reach out!

ABOUT ME
I am a Junior Game and Level Designer with a Bachelor's Degree in Video Game Design and Production from Tecnocampus (Pompeu Fabra University) and a Master's Degree in Video Game Design and Programming at UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). These academic years have provided me with broad knowledge over all stages of video game development. However, my main focus and passion are in Game and Level Design, particularly in the research over Rewarding Systems and User Experience. My goal is to create video games that tell compelling stories and deliver experiences that resonate with players on a deep and meaningful level.

Game Jams & Short Projects
Short games developed collaboratively with colleagues in a limited time frame. These games often follow a specific theme, challenging the team to think creatively and solve problems under pressure — but they're always a lot of fun and ideal to learn!

University projects
Games and levels developed for academic purposes, inside teams of various sizes, often oriented to a certain subject, setting the focus on more specific areas such as Narrative, Game Feel or Pacing

DarkEye App - Research Project
This mobile app is the output of an ongoing line of research developed through both my Bachelor's and Master's Degree Final Research Projects, where I have been exploring the most prevalent techniques in modern video game design used to retain players and undermine their sense of control, commonly known as Dark Patterns. The app serves as a tool to expose how these manipulative practices work, featuring an index that assesses the potential harmfulness of a given video game based on pre-established formulas. It also includes mini-games designed to playfully illustrate how these dark patterns manifest in real gameplay scenarios.

serious games, gamification and playtesting design documents
These design documentation files showcase my work across various projects, including university assignments, professional internships, and personal endeavors. Each document reflects my ability to adapt to different design challenges from concept development to detailed game mechanics and deep analyses. They are intended to provide well-structured, thoughtful designs and convey ideas to the team in the best possible way.
